Bookings are now open for our annual Conference. The theme for this year’s event is learning from the past to inform the future.
The Conference is specifically targeted at front line practitioners working with children, young people and families including those working in adult services.
Content will include:
- Review of the Year – what’s happened in child protection in 2017?
- Launch of the updated Child Protection Guidance
- Learning from Case Reviews – findings and themes
- Hearing the views of children, families and practitioners in Highland
There will also be a range of workshops highlighting tools available to practitioners working directly with children and families affected by substance misuse and neglect, as well as a range of informative sessions on issues such as investigative interviewing. Further details of the workshops are still being finalised and will follow.
Places are available free of charge but may be limited to one per team/service/agency depending on demand. Please note, the CPC do operate a non-attendance charge of £30 if places are not taken up and no notice is given (at least 48 hours before event).
A light lunch will be included. Vegetarian options are always provided but please do let us know if you have any dietary needs. Unfortunately due to the scale of this event we cannot cater for all dietary preferences. However, an on-site cafe is available if you would prefer to purchase an alternative option.
