This training will aim to provide staff with:

  • Baseline knowledge of different  types of mental illness, possible impacts upon the person and potential impacts on their parenting capacity
  • The influences of factors such as ACES, poverty, addiction etc upon mental health
  • Baseline understanding of the Mental Health Act
  • Relevant key messages from learning reviews in respect of parents with mental illness/disorder
  • A reminder of the fundamental need for adult and children services to collaborate and share knowledge and expertise – taking a whole family approach

Places are available free of charge but may need to be limited per team/service depending on demand. Suitable for those in the Intensive workforce.

Your booking will be held as pending, you will receive an email once your booking has been accepted this is to allow fair place allocation for services.  You will receive a follow up email before the day outlining further information, venue and registration details.
