This session is designed for staff in the School Nursing, Action for Children and Youth Action Teams who have regular contact with children and families who are using substances. This is an introduction to the Young People’s Substance Use pathway and intervention guide.
What can I expect from this session?
By the end of this session, staff should:
- Be familiar with the pathway and what their role is within it
- Be able to use the CRAFFT screening tool to assess substance use and risk
- Be aware of the different stages of intervention and when they can be utilised
- Know how to access the available supports for delivery of the pathway and intervention
Who should attend?
Currently this session is only accessible to:
- School Nursing Teams
- Action for Children Practitioners working in the Intensive Support Service or Side Step
- Youth Action Team
