NES Transforming Connections is a training programme developed for the workforce supporting care experienced children and young people as part of the National Trauma Training Programme (NTTP).
The training aims to help attendees to understand:
- Definition and prevalence of trauma
- Ways that trauma can affect people
- What trauma skilled practice is and what it looks like
- How to support people following traumatic events and help recovery
- The importance of caring for our own well being
The session is suitable for anyone who has a role supporting children and young people who are care experienced including those involved in Children’s Hearings, including Health Visitors, School Nurses, Advocacy workers.
29th September from 9.30am – 4.30pm and will be held at UHI House, Inverness *formerly known as Health for Science Building (behind Raigmore hospital)
Cafe available onsite.
Car parking payable at meter, please do not use Raigmore hospital parking.
Places are available free of charge but may be limited to one per team/service/agency depending on demand.
Your booking will be held as pending, you will receive an email once your booking has been accepted this is to allow fair place allocation for services. You will receive a follow up email before the day outlining further information, venue and registration details.
Please note this is an in person event and there is no option to join online.
