Mental Health Awareness: (Don’t) Always Read the Label – The Highland Forensic Service look forward to introducing you to key concepts of mental health legislation before reflecting on different symptoms, presentations and treatment options of a range of mental disorders.

 Pre-reading task- 30 mins approx.

This 3 hour training session on MS Teams will be delivered by colleagues in Highland Forensic Mental Health Service.  This training is for Children’s Services staff- aimed at frontline workers in Social Work, Health and Education who work directly with adults, (who are also parents), with Mental Health disorders.  Pre-reading is required (take approx. 30 mins) and there will be group work within the training.  This training is of particular interest for colleagues who wish to understand the legislative base in addition to symptoms, presentations and treatment options.  There will be a short time for Q&A at the end of the session.  Participants will be asked to email any questions or queries during the presentation so questions can be grouped into themes at the end.
