DESCRIPTION:Solution Focused Approaches Training \n\nSolution focused pract
 ice consists of a range of approaches to solving problems that are both ef
 fective and rewarding.  \nSolution focused working can be effective as a w
 ay of:\n•	having “short conversations” with colleagues or children a
 nd young people\n•	in-depth work with an individual over a period\, or o
 ne-off sessions\n•	changing the “ethos” of a group\, class or organi
 sation\n•	building team approaches\n•	providing staff support and deve
 lopment \n•	structuring formal meetings\n\nThis skills based course will
  cover as many aspects of work as possible where a solution focused approa
 ch might be helpful.  Following an introduction to solution focused princi
 ples\, the course has been designed to be interactive\, with group and pai
 red work throughout the day to practise solution focused techniques and re
 flect on these. To ensure the best learning experience\, full-day attendan
 ce is essential. \nThe course compliments the Highland GIRFEC training and
  is a pre-requisite for attending the Solution Focused Meeting course. \nT
 he content will appeal to a wide range of practitioners within Education\,
  Health and Social Care – anyone who supports children and families. Thi
 s may include\, Social Workers\, Health Visitors\, Head Teachers\, Guidanc
 e staff\, School nurses\, Additional Support for Learning staff and many m
 ore. Those undertaking or preparing to undertake the role as Named Person 
 or Lead Professional\, are invited to attend this course and the Solution 
 Focused Meeting course.\nThe venue and more details will be sent on bookin
 g confirmation. \nPlaces are available free of charge but may be limited p
 er team/service/agency depending on demand.\nPlease note\, the CPC do oper
 ate a non-attendance charge of £30 if places are not taken up and no noti
