DESCRIPTION:This session will be run on MS Teams.\n\nThis training is desig
 ned for staff who have regular contact with children and/or families\, inc
 luding those working within adult services. This course takes a more in de
 pth look at the different types of abuse and neglect\, as well as giving p
 articipants information about managing disclosures and handling sensitive 
 situations.\n\nWhat can I expect from this training?\n\nBy the end of this
  training\, staff should:\n•Be able to identify types of abuse and negle
 ct\n•Recognise specific vulnerabilities in children and young people\n
 •Be confident in sharing concerns about children\n•Know their roles an
 d responsibilities in relation to child protection\n\nWho should attend?\n
 \nAll staff who have regular contact with children and young people and/or
  their family members should attend this training.\n\nIn particular those 
 staff who:\n• Have regular contact with vulnerable children and families
 \n• Carry out direct work with children and families\n• Contribute to 
 assessments of children\, including assessment of risk\n• May be require
 d to support the development and delivery of the Child’s Plan\n• Have 
 specific responsibilities in regard to child protection
