SUMMARY:Online Training for Child Protection and the Unborn (Jenifer O'Haga
 n) - LEVEL 3
DESCRIPTION:Online Training for Child Protection and the Unborn\n\nThis tra
ining would benefit those working in health\, social work\, education\, ho
using and third sector agencies who wish to expand their knowledge of the
Women pregnancy and additional support pathway and risk assessment with un
born babies.\n\nParticipants are advised to carefully read through each se
ction in turn and consider the questions posed at the end of each section
before moving on to the next one. In clinical practice\, midwives will be
using the Women Pregnancy and Additional support pathway which we have inc
luded\, ensuring non-midwifery staff have an understanding of the process
used when providing care for women who may be vulnerable. We would encoura
ge all practitioners to contribute to the discussions arising from each st
age of the scenario and the questions posed at the end of each section.\n\
nBy the end of this training session practitioners should:\n\n Be familia
r with the assessment tools and processes used in vulnerable pregnancies i
ncluding the  Women Pregnancy and Additional support pathway.\n Reflect
on their own practice when providing a service to pregnant women where the
re are child protection/ wellbeing concerns.\n Become more familiar with
the issues to be considered at a Child Protection Plan Meeting (CPPM) for
the unborn baby and understanding of your role within this.\n Develop an
understanding of how agencies across the lifespan contribute to the assess
ment\, analysis and planning for an unborn baby.\n Have had an opportunit
y to ask professionals from other disciplines about their practices and ex
periences when providing care or services to pregnant women and their part
 ners.\n
