DESCRIPTION:This is a face to face training course at Inverness Library.\n\
 nThis training is designed for staff who have regular contact with childre
 n and/or families\, including those working within adult services. This co
 urse takes a more in depth look at the different types of abuse and neglec
 t\, as well as giving participants information about managing disclosures 
 and handling sensitive situations.\n\nWhat can I expect from this training
 ?\n\nBy the end of this training\, staff should:\n•Be able to identify t
 ypes of abuse and neglect\n•Recognise specific vulnerabilities in childr
 en and young people\n•Be confident in sharing concerns about children\n
 •Know their roles and responsibilities in relation to child protection\n
 \nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who have regular contact with children a
 nd young people and/or their family members should attend this training.\n
 \nIn particular those staff who:\n• Have regular contact with vulnerable
  children and families\n• Carry out direct work with children and famili
 es\n• Contribute to assessments of children\, including assessment of ri
 sk\n• May be required to support the development and delivery of the Chi
 ld’s Plan\n• Have specific responsibilities in regard to child protect
 ion
