DESCRIPTION:This is a face to face course at Inverness Leisure and details 
 for joining the training will be sent to you the week before\, or as soon 
 as the course is fully booked.\n\nThis training is designed for staff who 
 have regular contact with children and/or families\, including those worki
 ng within adult services. This course takes a more in depth look at the di
 fferent types of abuse and neglect\, as well as giving participants inform
 ation about managing disclosures and handling sensitive situations.\n\nWha
 t can I expect from this training?\n\nBy the end of this training\, staff 
 should:\n•Be able to identify types of abuse and neglect\n•Recognise s
 pecific vulnerabilities in children and young people\n•Be confident in s
 haring concerns about children\n•Know their roles and responsibilities i
 n relation to child protection\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who have
  regular contact with children and young people and/or their family member
 s should attend this training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n• Have
  regular contact with vulnerable children and families\n• Carry out dire
 ct work with children and families\n• Contribute to assessments of child
 ren\, including assessment of risk\n• May be required to support the dev
 elopment and delivery of the Child’s Plan\n• Have specific responsibil
 ities in regard to child protection
