DESCRIPTION:**** This training course is for High Life Highland staff and v
 olunteers only ****\n\nThis training is designed for staff who have regula
 r contact with children and/or families\, including those working within a
 dult services. This course takes a more in depth look at the different typ
 es of abuse and neglect\, as well as giving participants information about
  managing disclosures and handling sensitive situations.\n\nWhat can I exp
 ect from this training?\n\nBy the end of this training\, staff should:\n
 •Be able to identify types of abuse and neglect\n•Recognise specific v
 ulnerabilities in children and young people\n•Be confident in sharing co
 ncerns about children\n•Know their roles and responsibilities in relatio
 n to child protection\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who have regular 
 contact with children and young people and/or their family members should 
 attend this training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n• Have regular 
 contact with vulnerable children and families\n• Carry out direct work w
 ith children and families\n• Contribute to assessments of children\, inc
 luding assessment of risk\n• May be required to support the development 
 and delivery of the Child’s Plan\n• Have specific responsibilities in 
 regard to child protection
