DESCRIPTION:This is an online training course and details for joining the t
 raining will be sent to you the week before\, or as soon as the course is 
 fully booked.\n\nThis training is designed for staff who have regular cont
 act with children and/or families\, including those working within adult s
 ervices. This course takes a more in depth look at the different types of 
 abuse and neglect\, as well as giving participants information about manag
 ing disclosures and handling sensitive situations.\n\nWhat can I expect fr
 om this training?\n\nBy the end of this training\, staff should:\n•Be ab
 le to identify types of abuse and neglect\n•Recognise specific vulnerabi
 lities in children and young people\n•Be confident in sharing concerns a
 bout children\n•Know their roles and responsibilities in relation to chi
 ld protection\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who have regular contact 
 with children and young people and/or their family members should attend t
 his training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n• Have regular contact 
 with vulnerable children and families\n• Carry out direct work with chil
 dren and families\n• Contribute to assessments of children\, including a
 ssessment of risk\n• May be required to support the development and deli
 very of the Child’s Plan\n• Have specific responsibilities in regard t
 o child protection
