DESCRIPTION:This training course is face to face and will take place at Hil
 ton Community Centre.\n\nThis training is designed for staff who have regu
 lar contact with children and/or families\, including those working within
  adult services. This course takes a more in depth look at the different t
 ypes of abuse and neglect\, as well as giving participants information abo
 ut managing disclosures and handling sensitive situations.\n\nWhat can I e
 xpect from this training?\n\nBy the end of this training\, staff should:\n
 •Be able to identify types of abuse and neglect\n•Recognise specific v
 ulnerabilities in children and young people\n•Be confident in sharing co
 ncerns about children\n•Know their roles and responsibilities in relatio
 n to child protection\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who have regular 
 contact with children and young people and/or their family members should 
 attend this training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n• Have regular 
 contact with vulnerable children and families\n• Carry out direct work w
 ith children and families\n• Contribute to assessments of children\, inc
 luding assessment of risk\n• May be required to support the development 
 and delivery of the Child’s Plan\n• Have specific responsibilities in 
 regard to child protection
