DESCRIPTION:Harmful Parent-Child Interactions\nThis 3 hour course is curren
 tly being delivered via MST and is designed to help practitioners who are 
 concerned about the emotional maltreatment of a child or young person. The
  course provides a framework to help staff to identify this type of abuse 
 which is often unintentional. It assists with the appropriate vocabulary w
 ith which to record concerns within their agency assessment.  Prior to at
 tending the course\; practitioners must be prepared to think about some of
  the families they work with where they suspect emotional maltreatment may
  be a feature and about whom they are happy to discuss (anonymously) in th
 e training.\nThe training will be beneficial for the following staff :\nHe
 alth\, social care\, education\, and 3rd sector agencies who have direct a
 nd regular contact with children and their families.\nThis is the Direct C
 ontact workforce or Specific Contact Workforce (National Framework for Chi
 ld Protection 2012) or those staff working at levels 3-5 (Intercollegiate 
 Document 2019).\n
