DESCRIPTION:Harmful Parent-Child Interactions\nThis 3 hour course and is de
 signed to help practitioners who are concerned about the emotional maltrea
 tment of a child or young person. The course provides a framework to help 
 staff to identify this type of abuse which is often unintentional. It assi
 sts with the appropriate vocabulary with which to record concerns within t
 heir agency assessment.  Prior to attending the course\; practitioners mu
 st be prepared to think about some of the families they work with where th
 ey suspect emotional maltreatment may be a feature and about whom they are
  happy to discuss (anonymously) in the training.\nThe training will be ben
 eficial for the following staff :\nHealth\, social care\, education\, and 
 3rd sector agencies who have direct and regular contact with children and 
 their families.\nThis is the Direct Contact workforce or Specific Contact 
 Workforce (National Framework for Child Protection 2012) or those staff wo
 rking at levels 3-5 (Intercollegiate Document 2019).\n
