DESCRIPTION:Harmful Parent-Child Interactions\nThis 3 hour course is design
 ed to help practitioners who are concerned about the emotional maltreatmen
 t of a child or young person. The course provides a framework to help staf
 f to identify this type of abuse which is often unintentional. It assists 
 with the appropriate vocabulary with which to record concerns within their
  agency assessment.  Prior to attending the course\; practitioners must b
 e prepared to think about some of the families they work with where they s
 uspect emotional maltreatment may be a feature and about whom they are hap
 py to discuss (anonymously) in the training.\nThe training will be benefic
 ial for the following staff :\nHealth\, social care\, education\, and 3rd 
 sector agencies who have direct and regular contact with children and thei
 r families.\nThis is the Direct Contact workforce or Specific Contact Work
 force (National Framework for Child Protection 2012) or those staff workin
 g at levels 3-5 (Intercollegiate Document 2019).\n
