SUMMARY:Emotional Abuse and Neglect (Inverness)
DESCRIPTION:This half day course is designed to help practitioners who are 
 concerned about the emotional maltreatment of a child or young person. The
  course provides a framework to help staff to identify this type of abuse 
 which is often unintentional\, and the appropriate vocabulary with which t
 o record concerns within their agency assessment. It is recommended that p
 rior to attending the course\; practitioners think about some of the famil
 ies they work with where they suspect emotional maltreatment may be a feat
 ure and about whom they are happy to discuss (anonymously) in the training
 .\n\nThe training will be beneficial for the following staff (but not excl
 usive to)\n\nCAMHS staff\, Children’s Nurses\, Midwives\, AHP’s ( who 
 work with children)\,Adult Mental health Staff\, Paediatricians\, Health V
 isitors \, Social Workers or other workers who have direct or direct and r
 egular contact with children:\n\nThis is the Direct Contact workforce or S
 pecific Contact Workforce ( National Framework for Child Protection 2012) 
 or those staff working at levels 3-5 (Intercollegiate Document 2019).
