SUMMARY:Developing Competence in Child Protection (Thurso)
DESCRIPTION:This training is available to all practitioners who have direct
  and regular contact with children\, young people and parents/carers (incl
 uding adult services).\n\nBy the end of this training participants should:
 \n\n 	be confident in identifying indicators of risk and need\n 	be aware 
 of the learning from local and national case reviews\n 	be able to contrib
 ute effectively to multi-disciplinary assessments\n 	know their roles and 
 responsibilities in contributing to child protection meetings\n\nThis is a
  full-day course and participants are asked to make arrangements to be abl
 e to attend the whole day.\n\nNB: The Child Protection Committee no longer
  provides lunches and you are asked to bring your own with you.
