 .\n\nThis training is designed for volunteers &amp\; community organisatio
 ns who have regular contact with children and/or families\, including thos
 e working within adult services. This course takes a more in depth look at
  the different types of abuse and neglect\, as well as giving participants
  information about managing disclosures and handling sensitive situations.
 \n\nWhat can I expect from this training?\n\nBy the end of this training\,
  staff should:\n•Be able to identify types of abuse and neglect\n•Reco
 gnise specific vulnerabilities in children and young people\n•Be confide
 nt in sharing concerns about children\n•Know their roles and responsibil
 ities in relation to child protection\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll who hav
 e regular contact with children and young people and/or their family membe
 rs should attend this training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n• Hav
 e regular contact with vulnerable children and families\n• Carry out dir
 ect work with children and families\n• Contribute to assessments of chil
 dren\, including assessment of risk\n• May be required to support the de
 velopment and delivery of the Child’s Plan\n• Have specific responsibi
 lities in regard to child protection
