DESCRIPTION:This training is designed for volunteers &amp\; community organ
 isations who have regular contact with children and/or families\, includin
 g those working within adult services. This course takes a more in depth l
 ook at the different types of abuse and neglect\, as well as giving partic
 ipants information about managing disclosures and handling sensitive situa
 tions.\n\nWhat can I expect from this training?\n\nBy the end of this trai
 ning\, staff should:\n•Be able to identify types of abuse and neglect\n
 •Recognise specific vulnerabilities in children and young people\n•Be 
 confident in sharing concerns about children\n•Know their roles and resp
 onsibilities in relation to child protection\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll 
 who have regular contact with children and young people and/or their famil
 y members should attend this training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n
 • Have regular contact with vulnerable children and families\n• Carry 
 out direct work with children and families\n• Contribute to assessments 
 of children\, including assessment of risk\n• May be required to support
  the development and delivery of the Child’s Plan\n• Have specific res
 ponsibilities in regard to child protection\n\nThis training will be held
