DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Community of Practice Session with special gues
 t Donna Munro\, Lead Officer from Highland Child Protection Committee\n\n&
 nbsp\;\n\nDonna will present a joint piece of work she conducted with Carr
 ie McLaughlin around working with young people that had been perceived as 
 'hard to reach' who would have experienced trauma\, she will explain the a
 pproaches used\, show some of the 'voice' that was able to be gathered usi
 ng a tool that they had developed incorporating articles of the UNCRC to f
 acilitate discussion points with young people in a non judgemental way.\n\
 n\n\n\n\n\n\nConnect with practitioners across Highland\, and hear from lo
 cal and national voices\, to explore how we can meaningfully embed the Hig
 hland Children &amp\; Young People Participation Strategy in everyday prac
 tice.\nMonthly sessions will include:\n\n\n 	Presentations from local or n
 ational speakers\n 	Q&amp\;A to deepen understanding\n 	Time for conversat
 ion\, networking and informal sharing to support collaboration across High
 land\n\nTogether\, we’ll look at how others are working with children an
 d young people to bring the Strategy to life and strengthen participation 
 across services.\nOur work is underpinned by the Lundy Model of Participat
 ion\, the UNCRC\, GIRFEC\, and The Promise.\nSupporting rights‑based\, i
 nclusive and relational practice.\nOpen to all practitioners engaging with
  children and young people across Highland.\nThis session is suitable for 
 all sectors and any practitioner or manager working or engaging with Child
 ren and Families in Highland.\n\nThis is an online event.  Format will be
  presentation (presentation recorded only cameras and mics will be switche
 d during this period)\, followed by question and answer session and group 
 discussion (not recorded).\n\nBooking link will be sent on confirmation of
  booking.
