DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Community of Practice Session with special gues
 t Donna Munro\, Lead Officer from Highland Child Protection Committee\n\nD
 onna will present a joint piece of work she conducted with Carrie McLaughl
 in and the CYCJ around working with young people that had been perceived a
 s 'hard to reach' who would have experienced trauma. This includes young p
 eople in our justice system. Donna will explain the approaches used\, show
  some of the 'voice' that was able to be gathered using a tool that they h
 ad developed incorporating articles of the UNCRC to facilitate discussion 
 points with young people in a non judgemental way.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConnect 
 with practitioners across Highland\, and hear from local and national voic
 es\, to explore how we can meaningfully embed the Highland Children &amp\;
  Young People Participation Strategy in everyday practice.\nMonthly sessio
 ns will include:\n\n\n 	Presentations from local or national speakers\n 	Q
 &amp\;A to deepen understanding\n 	Time for conversation\, networking and 
 informal sharing to support collaboration across Highland\n\nTogether\, we
 ’ll look at how others are working with children and young people to bri
 ng the Strategy to life and strengthen participation across services.\nOur
  work is underpinned by the Lundy Model of Participation\, the UNCRC\, GIR
 FEC\, and The Promise.\nSupporting rights‑based\, inclusive and relation
 al practice.\nOpen to all practitioners engaging with children and young p
 eople across Highland.\nThis session is suitable for all sectors and any p
 ractitioner or manager working or engaging with Children and Families in H
 ighland.\n\nThis is an online event.  Format will be presentation (presen
 tation recorded only cameras and mics will be switched during this period)
 \, followed by question and answer session and group discussion (not recor
