DESCRIPTION:Join us for our this Community of Practice Session with special
  guests Laura Starkey and Susan Epsworth from Education Scotland who will 
 present Education Scotland's new youth Voice Toolkit.  \n\nThis Communit
 ies of Practice is to support practitioners and leaders to understand how 
 to utilise the new Youth Voice Toolkit across a range of settings. The Too
 lkit supports genuine consultation and youth voice activities with childre
 n and young people\, across school and community settings.\n\nThis session
  will cover:\n\nFinding the Toolkit and navigating the website\nImplementa
 tion across a range of settings\nUsing the sections and understanding the 
 principles of the Youth Voice Charter and Empowering Youth Voices Resource
  Pack.\n\nThe session will be tailored to meet participants needs and vary
 ing stages of toolkit implementation\, including time for questions and pr
 ofessional dialogue.\nLaura Starkey and Susan Epsworth are highly experien
 ced Community Learning and Development officers within Education Scotland.
  With extensive CLD Youth Work backgrounds spanning years within primary\,
  secondary and community settings\, they bring a robust knowledge of how t
 o facilitate effective youth voice approaches. Their work ensures children
  and young people - including those from seldom-heard groups - are meaning
 fully involved in decision-making.\nConnect with practitioners across High
 land\, and hear from local and national voices\, to explore how we can mea
 ningfully embed the Highland Children &amp\; Young People Participation St
 rategy in everyday practice.\nMonthly sessions will include:\n\n\n 	Presen
 tations from local or national speakers\n 	Q&amp\;A to deepen understandin
 g\n 	Time for conversation\, networking and informal sharing to support co
 llaboration across Highland\n\nTogether\, we’ll look at how others are w
 orking with children and young people to bring the Strategy to life and st
 rengthen participation across services.\nOur work is underpinned by the Lu
 ndy Model of Participation\, the UNCRC\, GIRFEC\, and The Promise.\nSuppor
 ting rights‑based\, inclusive and relational practice.\nOpen to all prac
 titioners engaging with children and young people across Highland.\nThis s
 ession is suitable for all sectors and any practitioner or manager working
  or engaging with Children and Families in Highland.\n\nThis is an online 
 event.  Format will be presentation (presentation recorded only cameras a
 nd mics will be switched during this period)\, followed by question and an
 swer session and group discussion (not recorded).\n\nBooking link will be 
 sent on confirmation of booking.
