ex Trauma – Level 3\n\n2 HOURS (part of a 4 hour course)\n\nPlease note
this Course is delivered online via Google Meet. It is necessary to have a

framework.  Content is adjusted according to the particular group attend
ing to ensure it is relevant for their particular service context\, and th
e Practice Model is used as a framework throughout.  People who have atte

as it connects the agenda to a Highland context.\n\nSession One provides
in depth coverage of Simple and Complex trauma\, with the short and long-t
erm consequences for how people experience situations and cope with them.
Tools and approaches for understanding and helping are covered in depth

ldhood Experiences and Developmental trauma\, whereby sufficiently early o

these impacts\, whatever our role.\n\nEach session is self-contained and t
hey can be attended in any order.\n\nWhat can I expect from this training?
\n\nBy the end of this training\, staff should:\n\n Know about the range
of adverse experiences that can affect children’s well-being from pre-bi
rth to teenage\n Recognise the kinds of issues that children or parents w
ho have traumatic memories can present with\, and how to assess and addres
s these in their settings\n Understand how adverse childhood experiences
affect development\, learning\, behaviour and health and what this looks l
ike in different contexts\, such as home\, school or community.\n Have cl
ear ideas how\, in their role\, they can reduce or prevent the impacts of
adverse childhood experiences\n Understand the roles of other staff\, age
ncies and services\, and how to work together using a common language\n B
e confident in applying knowledge about trauma and adverse childhood exper
iences to joint planning for children\n Have a simple framework\, based o
n SHANARRI\, for communicating about adversity and trauma safely and clear
ly to young people and families\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who hav
e regular contact with children and young people and/or their family membe
rs should attend this training.\n\nPre-requisites\n\nNeed to have previous
ly attended a more basic trauma awareness course\, such as the Level 2 Tra
