SUMMARY:Change\, Loss \,Bereavement (C\,L\,B) Awareness Training
DESCRIPTION:Change\, Loss &amp\; Bereavement Awareness Training - Level 2\n
 \nGrief is a normal and natural reaction to a loss. Children and young peo
 ple grieve just as deeply as adults but they show it in different ways Chi
 ldren and young people rely on the adults around them to support them in t
 heir grief journey. This training is a foundation level course to provide 
 attendees with an opportunity to consider how grief impacts for children a
 nd young people who are dealing with significant change\, loss and/or bere
 avement. Those attending should leave with a basic knowledge and understan
 ding of what they can do to support Children &amp\; Young People at a univ
 ersal level to allow all Children &amp\; Young People to Thrive.\n\nThis t
 raining has been created by a multi-agency group of professionals to suppo
 rt C&amp\;YP\, practitioners and families to access information and suppor
 t relating to the loss and change which we all experience throughout our l
 ives\n\nRaise awareness of change\, loss and bereavement\n\n 1.5 HOUR CO
 URSE\n\nWhat can I expect from this training?\nPromote understanding of CL
 B and how to respond appropriately to those experiencing it\nConsider the 
 effect of CLB on children and young people and how this impacts on them da
 y to day\nSupport staff to feel more confident in responding to CLB and to
  be aware of the resources that can support this\n\nThis training is desig
 ned for -\n\nSchool staff including –  Class Teachers\, Pupil Support A
 ssistants \, Children Service Workers\, Head Teachers\, Depute Head Teache
 rs\, Pastoral Teams\, Additional Support Need Teaching staff\n\nAlso staff
 / adults  from wider  range of services and professional roles  e.g Pri
 mary Mental Health Workers\, Practice Leads\,  Educational Psychologists\
 , Social work\, Health staff\, Support workers also including voluntary se
 rvices and foster carers\n\nThis session will cover:\n\n 	What is loss?\n 
 	Secondary losses\n 	Brief introduction to theories of grief\n 	Examples o
 f Young People's experiences of CLB\n 	Your role in supporting Young Peopl
 e\n 	How to respond to CLB\n 	Support available\n\nProvides information ab
 out further courses\, reading and resources available\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBy the
  end of this training\, staff should:\n\n 	Know how common trauma is and u
 nderstand different types of trauma and their impact\n 	Understand how peo
 ple with traumatic memories experience situations\, including how children
  of different ages present\n 	Know how to respond to a known traumatic eve
 nt\, or to help people with the consequences of trauma even when the histo
 ry is unknown\n 	Connect trauma informed practice to their core roles and 
 to the Practice Model\n 	Have some ideas for self-care and reducing the im
 pact of vicarious trauma\n\nWho should attend?\n\nAll staff who have regul
 ar contact with children and young people and/or their family members shou
 ld attend this training.\n\nIn particular those staff who:\n\n 	Have day t
 o day contact with children of any age and families\n 	Carry out direct or
  indirect work with children and families\n 	Provide specialist advice to 
 those who work with children or families\n 	Manage services that work with
  children and families\n 	Develop policy and practice in organisations acr
