DESCRIPTION:This is a very basic introduction to the Highland Practice Guid
 ance and Child Protection for all staff who have any contact with Children
  and Families\, including those working within adult services.\nWhat can I
  expect from this training?\nBy the end of this training\, staff should:\n
 \n 	Understand what is meant by it’s everyone’s responsibility to prot
 ect children and Getting It Right For Every Child\n 	Be familiar with the 
 Assessment Framework\, Service Delivery Model and role of the Named Person
 /Lead Professional\n 	Be familiar with the interagency child protection gu
 idelines\, and the role of the Child Protection Committee\n 	Be familiar w
 ith the signs\, indicators\, definitions and effects of child abuse and ne
 glect\n 	Appreciate the effect of cultural and religious beliefs and refra
 in from making assumptions about certain cultures and backgrounds\n 	Be fa
 miliar with specific vulnerabilities\n 	Appreciate and understand their ow
 n attitudes in relation to child abuse and neglect\, and how these can sha
 pe actions\n 	Know their roles and responsibilities in contributing to the
  protection of children\n 	Know when to seek appropriate supervision/suppo
 rt and where to find this\n\nWho should attend?\n\n• All staff who have 
 contact with children and/or families no matter how minimal\n• Anyone wh
 o has not received child protection training within the past 3 years\n\nCo
 urse Pre-requisites:\n\nThere are no pre-requisites for staff attending th
 is training and it is open to anyone wishing to improve their knowledge an
 d/or confidence in this area.\n\nAttendees will receive a completion certi
