Workshop to Raise Awareness of Prevent (WRAP) – identifying and responding to children, young people and family members at risk of grooming or exploitation for radicalisation purposes: Inverness dates now available
WRAP is an interactive facilitated workshop aimed at front line staff working with children, young people and family members (including those working within adult services). WRAP sessions aim to provide attendees with an awareness and understanding of the PREVENT agenda and their role within it.
In particular, sessions will highlight:
- Definitions of PREVENT, radicalisation and terrorism
- Factors which could indicate a young person is more vulnerable to/at risk of radicalisation
- Behaviours which may indicate a young person is being groomed for radicalisation purposes
- Processes for responding to children, young people and families at risk
Courses are free and available in Inverness up until October 2018. Dates and bookings available on the Training page of the website. Further dates in local areas will be made available later in the year.
