CELCIS thought you might like to know about some materials that have been recently launched in relation to child sexual exploitation. They have come from the National Crime Agency, who have issued a news release about how the use of live streaming platforms by online sex offenders is on the increase. The NCA and National Police Chief’s Council have also recently launched a campaign aimed at parents communicating with their children about online behaviours.
There is short and powerful animation, depicting the voice of an abuser as a warning to families and young people about the dangers of being online. Further to this, there is a Digital Childhood report that has been issued, led by the University of Southampton, which provides guidelines for concerns and makes recommendations for specific age groups.
